Its 11:00 sunday morning and it has been raining since I first woke up this morning. The rain this morning was torrential, now it actually stopped, but its so humid outside, your skin gets damp when you step out for a few seconds. I like rainy weekend days, I find myself induldging myself with luxuries like swedish pancakes, doing laundry and you-tube. I check my baseball team, I remember to check to see if our basement is retaining water (it is) and find myself in an industrious and somewhat contemplative mood. Maybe because I've got the run of the house, two roommates are up in palmyra, and the other one is holed up in her room. Right now, thanks to Steve, I'm checking out where friends stand in the 1990 Census data of female (and male) first names.

10 "random" names:

Kelli: sandwiched between Pam and Hannah
Tricia: sandwiched between Jenna and Laverne
Joy: sandwiched between Tamara and Georgia
Kelly: sandwiched between Nicole and Janice
Erin: sandwiched between Jill and geraldine
Verna; sandwiched between Beulah and Lola
Bonnie: sandwiched between Wanda and Julia
Darwin: sandwiched between elliot and Ashley
Bryan: sandwiched between Danny and Tony
beau: sandwiched between linwood and weldon

While checking out the names on the census report, I started listening to William Shatner's interp of "rocketman," thanks to Chris. After watching it on the heels of Connie Chung's "brilliant" rendition of "thanks for the memories," I came to these conclusions: Connie's rendition is much more brilliant....and I'm not sure if "Rocketman" or "Taxi" is his best work. What do you think?

Taxi

Rocketman

I love Bill!!!

Have you heard his version of "Common People"? Not that great, but that is what makes it good, haha. They have the music almost override his lyrics, hehe. I love his "Lucy in the Sky" version though, probably more than the original. And he has this hilarious "I am Canadian" thing he did.

Oh come on, the Shatman's awesome! Even when he's awful he's classic.
