My earliest memory of Ben Folds was the video "Uncle Walter." I still remember my roommates thinking it bizarre, and me thinking that Ben rocked...only the way a geeky dude can on a piano. Last night Kell and I made the trek out to Columbia to see Ben Folds perform with a full orchestra. On the way, we saw some of the water damage of the last couple of days. I don't know why I didn't think of taking some photos, because the damage was impressive, even to my jaded eyes. We made it to the concert in good time. A few minutes before the first song, some guy waved me over. He asked if one of us wanted an upgrade. Kelli waved me to go with him. A few minutes later, he gave me his ticket to give to Kelli and she came and sat by us. The concert was great. Ben is a premiere showman and being backed by an orchestra worked. For the most part. He didn't do B&^%#@$# ain't S%$^, but it was a great concert. A little weird being on a "date" when I arrived with Kell, but whatever. Yes, the guy gave me his number. He's nice enough, but I doubt I'll call.

Aww, you should go for it!
I am so jealous you saw him in concert. I would love to see him.
Aww! Definitely call ... after all when was the last time you picked up a guy at a concert :)

I don't pick up guys at concerts! He picked me up...but he was sweet to give me that ticket.
