Speak Out (so this was so last week but........)

I rarely talk about politics on my blog because I just don't get around to it. Or I figure that I don't want to open up that can of worms on here. However, now is as good as time as any to start. First off, I'm a wobbly. I repeatedly find myself middle of the road, but that doesn't mean I don't have principles that I stand by...it just means that I almost always find myself between the two main party stances on issues looking at both stances and thinking, "I don't think so." However, there's one thing that's becoming increasingly clear to me...either the Bush administration is being hounded by the Liberal Media press excessively....or the Bush Administration's behavior in the last year has turned into one long, sad, extended comedy of errors.

But the purpose of this post is really to highlight this little ditty: what I consider the best Brokeback parody (well the miners on snl were better than topgun and even seven recut) and one of the best Cheney jokes yet to come out:

You can listen to the song here

Dick and Harry
Harry Whittington, you better run, I'm counting up to 5
Harry Whittington, what have you done, you shouldn't have told the wife.
We've been coming here for 30 years
They thought it was for doves
But it was for love
Sweet, sweet love
Harry Whittington, we had some fun, we laughed, we danced, we cried.
But now you've changed, became ashamed, of our secret life
We've been coming here for all these years
From Nixon, through Senior, to Son
And it was for love
Sweet, sweet love
Remember the nights under the starsI played my guitar, songs of world domination
And we cuddled up in front of the fire
We were more than just friendsI'm sorry that it has to end.
Harry Whittington, Now, I've got a gun, I'm counting up to 5
(jill sobule/robin eaton)

This post also gives me an excuse to tell my friends (again) about one of my favorite songwriters (kiss a girl was so '95) of the last 20 years. Jill Sobule is a gifted, wry songwriter.

That's funny. Also, a radio station out here as been doing a "Cheney's got a gun," campagin, and they are marketing a CD with Snoopdog, 50 cent tracks and others on it! LOL. Also, personally think liberal media is hounding the Bush admin., somtimes with reason, sometimes not, but Democrats are looking to the next election I think....
