Seagull Century News

I finished this today a lot faster than I was hoping for. Next Year? Century, and not just a Metric one. Unfortunately I left my camera at home, so no pictures of a great, great weekend. And the coolest part? Kelli turned to me and said, "I can do this, I want to do this next year." 'Til then, Kay.

How do you react to stress?

Yesterday evening as I was riding home, I got to an intersection about 1.5 miles from my house. The intersection was busy, and I had a red wait so I waited on the corner. Another rider came up and when the light turned, I let him go ahead of me. I continued on my bike and just happened to look at my left when I was in the middle of the intersection. A red Dodge Charger was bearing down on me. She noticed me as soon as I noticed her, and she stopped between 5-10 feet of my new road-bike. She cried out, “sorry,” and although I really wanted to say something like, “no problem,” to comfort her from nearly mowing me over on Glebe St., I couldn’t. The only thing that came out of my mouth was a clearly fustrated, loud, “aaahh!” I couldn’t get anything else out except for that. Yes, apparently I’m super eloquent under stress. Oh, and Mom, don't worry-I keep my guard up all the time on my bike.
