Weekend unwrapped and naked:
At the end of a 3 day weekend i usually feel tired. exhausted. and happy from playing, playing playing for 3 days straight. Right now, I'm tired, a little beat up (but no more "head traumas") and just happy that Garp's tire was fixable.
Sat. Marilyn mentioned the Civil War Re-enactment about 2 weeks ago. I mentioned it to Eddie. Eddie committed, e-mailed list-serv that we were going committing me, then Marilyn backed out. But honestly, she probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as she is afraid of the sun. (she might have been goth in another life ;) Okay, she doesn't like sunburns which is a perfectly healthy phobia. Anyway, 3 or 4 people were in and then out and it ended up being Eddie and I all day with the crazy people. I mean re-enactors. And I guess since their crazy isn't my crazy that doesn't mean they are crazy..........no, I think they are still crazy. There was an Adam encounter. No follow up to that..
Photos of re-enactment will follow when computer is fixed, i buy a new computer, or take dig camera to work.
Sunday: 10 people at the house. Okay, 9 people slept at the house. But, Mary is gone the month of July and is moving as is the other two. And our visitors take off today.
Monday:
"church" breakfast at a friend's house. For some reason there were more boys than girls. Very odd, but not a bad thing in Mormonlandia. Afterwards, Garp was driven to Sears, an open auto shop on the 4th. I was informed a tire fix would cost 19.99 instead of 8.00 back home in Utah. The reason was explained to me was that at Sears they take the tire off the rim and actually fix it while everywhere else they just patch it...... what is this miracle that Sears Auto body does... because isn't a patch job a patch job and the tire has to be taken off the rim?????? Rob was driving by and rescued me from Wendy's....and we went to old navy while I was waiting for Garp.
That evening was fireworks on the DOI's roof. Took Vienna. She thanked me several times so i think she enjoyed it. ;) Photos: See above
M-diddy. Fo Real???
Yahoo article
Martha Stewart in prison has been one of those yawn fests for me. The crocheted shawl? Really not the coolest. However, the 3 times I've watched Martha's show back in the day, she was drunk on two of the episodes and that was high quality entertainment, much like this article. Apparently, her prison nickname was M-diddy. I wonder if she meant, that's the nickname she gave herself? She knows how to take off her ankle restraints and announced that to a reporter? My interest is piquing.....a little. Not to mention her crush on Jon Stewart????
