Gay Marriage Peeps

Last week I was in church in Vernal and a letter was read asking members to write a letter to their Senators in support of the constitutional ban on Gay Marriage law. In class we we were talking about it and were asked who our congressmen and senators were. One girl (just 18 in her defense) said that Matheson is our representative, but he's not really our representative, he's a democrat. (Matheson is LDS) Another lady said, you know Sen. Hatch is a Vernal hatch (As Vernal as you can get for never living in the town, but his great grandfather did found the town). So, I decided to write a letter, but then remembered I've been meaning to write a letter to Just Born for a year. I wrote Just Born asking if they were ever going to start a factory tour and if they have a Factory Store, as my dream is to buy a 5 lb bag of Hot Tamales, a case of peeps and make myself sick. If you'd like to write Just Born, their address is:

Just Born, Inc.
1300 Stefko Boulevard
Bethlehem, PA 18017

You know that Dingy Harry (Reid) is a member of the church too. He has stated that he will not support the marriage ammendment. He's kind of like Senator Kennedy who is a Catholic but supports abortion. Interesting......

It annoyed the hell out of me how the church was always jumping on this bandwagon. Can't people see this is just an election year reason to polarize the electorate, with the Republicans hoping that at least. 50.1% of the population agrees with them. FYI, I bet it won't pass the Senate?!?!?

They know it won't pass, it's a symbolic stand. The Church obviously stands with it, whether it passes or not, or whether it's an election year or not. Apparently Church leaders had to reaffirm to those who think otherwise that Church doctrine believes marriage should be only between a man and a woman

I don't have a problem with Sen. Reid's statement about gay marriage.

Nobody thought it would pass the Senate. ;)
