A Conversation with Amelia Part Two
Okay, this isn't a conversation so much as its just the last 5 of ten questions that she so graciously answered. Here they are:
6)You’re stranded on a desert island-Which of the following would you pick as a side kick? A) A volleyball B) A “Savage” C) A case of rum
i have to go with “savage” on this one. i can’t imagine no human contact at all. that would be miserable. i think i’d be a little less, um, “colonialist” about it than say Robinson Crusoe or Prospero. do i get to choose the sex of my side kick? i don’t know why i ask, though. i don’t honestly know if i’d rather a man or a woman. hmm… if i can marry him, i’d go with a man. we could turn it into our own private little island complete with family. but if i can’t marry him, it’s got to be a woman.
7)You’re in a karaoke duet contest. Your team is one of two finalists. The other is Dame Judy Dench and Kathy Griffin. Which founding father would you pick to sing with?
hmm. singing, not fighting. i’m going strictly based on prejudice here. Jefferson. i went to his university, so i’m kind of partial to mr. Jefferson. plus he was a bit of a renaissance man; i can’t imagine that didn’t include some amount of musical training. i bet he’d be a real winner with the ladies in the audience, too.
8)After a long day, do you have a favorite unwinding routine?
No favorite routine to unwind. just a variety of favorite methods. a bubble bath. or good food. or chatting to friends, in person or online. anything that induces laughter. playing with my babies (my nieces & nephews). just sitting in silence, especially outside on a beautiful balmy evening. reading a good book. vegging in front of the tv or a movie.
9)What’s the latest album or artist you can’t get enough of?
well, latest full album is josh ritter’s “the animal years” which i’ve listened to more than anything recently. i love it. love him. it’s just beautiful. but yesterday i discovered dEUS and am in love with what i know of their sound. funky fresh groovy mellow. amazing lyrics. gorgeous voice. and i hear they give a great concert. i need more of their music now; i only bought one song.
10) Tacos or pizza?
tacos. no. pizza. no. tacos. curses! pizza. i’ll go with pizza. if it had been burritos or pizza, i would have had a true dilemma. i like to make pizza and i think i make good pizza. and there are so many lovely variations. everything from the totally plebian pepperoni to the artsy-fartsy fresh basil, goat cheese, and tomato. totally tasty. plus it’s fabulous people food—more so than tacos. but i must say, it pains me to have to choose something over Mexican food.
Amelia, thanks for humoring me. I'm not sure if this will be a one-time thing or an "occasional series." I haven't decided one way or another.

You would post earth shattering ethical questions regarding Dame Judi, Kathy Griffin and the Founding Father of your choice and not invite OTHERS (nudge, nudge) to participate?
Amelia? I kept thinking Amelia Bedelia, but I don't think that's who you were talking to.
SJ: Oh, Amelia is Biblio on Linkup. Amelia is her blog name.
Hoo: I wonder if Peter Pan would consent to answering 10 questions. Is that who you had in mind?
If you got "Little Lord Fauntleroy" as I like to call him to post on here, I would be in AWE. DO IT!
I just posted on his guest book asking for the privilege.
you will be my blogging hero if you get little lord fauntleroy, aka peter pan, to answer ten questions. holy hell! that's like the grail of blogging.
