We just got back from spending a night on an island on Lake Titicaca. We stayed with a family and they were so sweet. The lake is really, really cool as are the people who live on there. We also saw some really cool birds, and ate fish of course.

I'm back. Josue says Les quiero can be right, just not in that text. He is giving me a hard time for trying to act smart, but I'm telling him to shut up because I'm not trying to hide the fact that it's JUST an act! ha!
Funny. Yeah, actually, Id have to les is feminine right? I´m exhausted so, I cant remember, even if I´ve been speaking spanish for four for 10 days.
Oh, and tell Josue that Feliz dia de la mama o algo asi was used on a cake here. So, you were right. At least in Peru. It probably was because it was a cake for one mama and not them all.
I don't know if les is feminine. I'd never even actually heard it used before until you wrote it and I asked Josue about it. I know las is feminine. Maybe les is the a transgender word. HA!
Josue also just told me that feliz dia de la mama IS right, and that just goes to show you I'm not smart at all. I said feliz dia de madre when he told me I was wrong so now I just asked him why and he said what I said just sounds too cold. Apparently in Spanish, there is no line between something sounding bad and actually being wrong. (As far as my picky husband goes!) :p
So, in other words...you're husband is trying to get you to speak cariño spanish. Ah, its almost tender....but totally fustrating when someone tells you something is wrong, but its not, its just the more polite version and not the more familiar version. ;)
I looked les up...and what I did was use les which does mean them or you guys formal, but it means them in use with reflexive verbs. However really, I think you're husband is being pesado. ;)

FYI... I truly believe that Josue likes to just get on my nerves when it comes to (not) teaching me spanish.
That's kind of funny. I've been tempted to do a little spanish here on my blog. We'll see.
Lake Titicaca is simply amazing and it's kind of magical at the same time. You should've stopped by La Isla del Sol and La Isla de la Luna, those are great places...
We didn't have enough time to go do Bolivia. However, uros, Amatani, and Taquile were totally worth visiting.
