I'm going to be in Utah starting Thursday afternoon, and by the time I get back my boyfriend Karl Rove will be out of the White House, out of DC, out of my life. So, my farewell to the man holding my heart in his clammy hands will have to be posted today. We've seen his twinkle toes at the Correspondent's Dinner, his jealousy when I find someone new. But now that he's going to Texas (total dealbreaker for me--sorry), I need a new man. A new politician---preferably as diabolical as the previous one. But, I think what Rove and I had was serendipitous. You can't replicate that.

Ah, parting is indeed such sweet sorrow. Wise of you it is to spend time in Utah mourning your inimitable loss. Alas, a possible replacement at the DOJ will also soon be gone. What's DC's favorite red head to do?
Well, I also think that the requirement for your new beau has to be that you have physically interacted with them...just like the famed KR. So we can't just say that Sandy Berger is your new love, for example. Unless you ran into him at a Nats game at RFK...

this whole last couple of weeks, after Karl Rove was in the news for resigning and all that, I thought of you, sherpa.
I must admit, I have a great deal of respect for this man. And I"m not entirely sure (as a lot of democrats are) that he used his powers for evil. LOL. Dang it, he's a politician! He did a phenomenal job at what he set out to do. So, good bye Karl Rove, you're a genius, and the republican party will be a lot less cool and intelligent sounding without you in the white house.

Ok I should have clarified the wording of my original contact. You at least encountered rove, if only across a hot dog cart. I'm saying you just can't pick whatever DC pol you like for your next bf. You have to at least have crossed paths.
