All taken in the Uinta Mountains, I believe. The Uintas are in North-East Utah.

What stunning territory! I could easily see myself plopped in a little log cabin in just such settings....Thank you for sharing!

It's my first Wordless Wednesday post and visit to your blog. :)

Great shots! it is difficult to snap moose photos; they are uysusally really shy, especially when they have littles... Good job!

Happy WW! :-)

It is NOT Wednesday yet! But I will forgive you because these pics are so good. I LOVE moose! I need to learn more respect though. This---> http://tinyurl.com/2jaxj4 was probably not so smart.

Oh my heck!! I thought the scenery look familiar. It is my back YARD. We are lucky enough to live in Utah about 2 hours from the Uintas. Small world. That is where my WW was taken this week too.

Top class nature photography. I'm really impressed.

How amazingly peaceful. I have seen elk signs on the roads in Western Washington, but never seen them.

Beautiful! I just love the mother (?) and her calf!

Joy said...

They're looking for goats actually. I'm not telling the goat story until I come back from Labor Day (where I too will be looking for goats).

Joy said...

ravn-they aren't scared of the elk. I can almost guarantee you that this was taken right after my dad yelled at them. I wasn't there, but I can tell by the dogs mannerisms.
