31. Tough love is lame when it’s totally misplaced.
30. I can’t stop listening to Transliterator by Devotchka.
29. I move tomorrow to the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria.
28. Watching “I am Legend” right before I went to sleep was almost as smart as watching “The Exorcist” right before I went to bed. Both cause strange dreams.
27. Speaking of dreams, I keep dreaming about someone I haven’t seen for 10 years.
26. Leaving windows open at work can be catastrophic. Luckily the pigeon only inflicted minimal damage on the office (and a couple of tell-tale feathers) before it apparently flew out. Somehow, I think that co-worker isn’t going to leave the window open anytime soon.
25. I’m not much of a competitor. Last year, I won my brother’s NCAA tournament pool. I had forgotten, and was wondering why one of the guys in the pool named his bracket, “To KillJoy.”
24. To its admirers: the loveseat is gone.
23. My room is pretty much bare.
22. I’m now a YMCA member.
21. Melissa made the Washington Post’s free newspaper today.
20. Sometimes I just have to laugh at how other people must perceive me.
19. I could fall asleep right here.
18. I spilled 20 oz of water on my bed last night.
17. I’ve got a great, albeit tragic, story involving the bubonic plague. Unfortunately, I can’t share it on here.
16. I think it may be faster to bike to work than take the metro.
15. The YMCA has a pool and is across the street from the new apartment.
14. Kell and I could use a stud finder.
13. Scrabulous is pretty sweet. Especially playing against friends.
12. Seeing a homeless person on a bicycle makes me smile. As long as the bike isn’t mine.
11. This little hole in my heart has been filled since the Yanks start regular season today.
10. I finally gave my first speech at toastmasters. I think it went pretty well.
9. There’s a NPS campground that we can metro to in Maryland. Metro-accessible camping? I want to try it soon.
8. My birdfeeder is a neighborhood songbird hotspot.
7. I’ve given up crocheting.
6. Diet Coke is……..
5. My brother Richard (or Smokey), has had two job offers in the north-west.
4. Ever tried to get some information, only to end up where you started?
3. The Raconteur’s new album, “Consolers of the Lonely”? Not bad.
2. I suck at trash-talk. Its true.
1. “Into the Wild” is nearly as haunting as the book. Both are classics in my world.

Here's my random thought: why, oh why, does MLB start so early? It's cold and rainy almost everywhere! The Yanks game was postponed, and I couldn't watch the Cubs/Brewers suffer in the downpour. If they didn't make so much money, I'd feel sorry for them.
Yeah, the Yanks game is postponed until tomorrow (and its supposed to rain tomorrow too), the Nats game last night was freezing (at least that's what I heard), and I'm sure somewhere its snowing in lieu of baseball. The only solution I guess is to shorten the season, but I don't think that works either.
i want the bubonic plague story! i also want to camp by taking the metro. i want a metro!
I really can't put the bubonic plague story out online. I know, its a mean taunt, but out of respect to the family, I can't do it.
A metro. You need a metro. Sometimes they are over-rated, but not usually.
The key to trash talking is practice or not being you! In yo face!
Oh and Alaska isn't as haunting/cool/romantic/scary as one would think. Or maybe it is and I'm just trying to keep it on the down low.
Pending on why you want to find a stud or the kind of stud you are looking for you might just be better off with dry wall screws.
Oh and if you still want help trash talking watch the Futurama episode with the Halem Globe Trotters.
Real Fruit- Yeah, see I've had years and years of practicing trash talking. That's not my problem.
Into the Wild isn't about Alaska. That's not really the book's message and that's not what is haunting about the book or movie. From what I hear, Alaska is pretty dirty anyway.
I think I need a stud finder for this project.
We were just looking at places in Del Ray this past weekend. Thinking of maybe buying a place over there. Cute area. The fact there is a Y over there just gave it some bonus points as well! so if you see me wondering around your street this weekend, don't panic more than normal!
Steve-Maybe we'll finally meet!
hey, new header, neat, i preceive you as a sweet mormon girl who is doing something terriblely important and interesting, growing in the right way(not out), in the right place, at the right time of your life, and if you were my daughter i would be proud of you
Sweet cupcake pic! Check out this cupcake blog: http://cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com/. (No, it's not my blog, I just like reading it!)
Why did you give up crocheting?
Putz-Thank you.
Lady-I'll have to check it out! I like reading cupcake blogs! I took that picture from another cupcake blog. I forget the name though.
Daisy-I'm paring back. However, I gave up all of my yarn but I kept my hooks so...we'll see how long this lasts.
Melissa-Oh yeah. Its not for lack of practice. I can tease with the best of them. I usually try to pass teasing as trash talk.
