Personally, I didn't realize who the "African American" Soldier was until I read an article about the upcoming "Tropic Thunder." If you haven't heard, he's white, he's famous, he's one of my favorite actors of his generation(even if he sort of plays himself a lot), and he's finally got his life back on track and has been experiencing a comeback of sorts. And his son's name is Indio.

WOW! No way. I totally wouldn't have guessed that.
I read a story about said actor in this role but hadn't seen the photos. That's nuts. Much better make up than C. Thomas Howell got in "Soul Man."
I bet he dies. The black sidekick always dies.
I'm impressed. If it is who I think it is, I'm waiting for him to kick major butt in a new superhero movie. I'm glad he's back on track...you're right, he's a great actor.
Shut up! That's AWESOME! I think he's great too. Now I'm going to have to watch Chances Are...
I love that no one is calling him by name. That's awesome.
Jillian-Yeah, its only obvious to me unless you knew.
Jules-Definitely.
Salt-For sure...
Brent-Yes, I think you've got it.
Laura-Glad you like him too.
Whole E. Crap.
That really threw me. IMDB is my friend.
I had to google tropic thunder to figure out who it was. That's awesomely incredible!
Dainon- imdb is my friend too. It's a good friend.
Shannon-Yeah, its amazing. He plays an overly committed white actor who goes black for the role....
I've seen the trailer that's on the Tropic Thunder Website. you only get a couple of seconds of watching this actor...but he's definitely not playing himself in those 2 seconds or so....
i totally had no clue who it was until i too went to imdb. crazy
Wow, that's some good makeup artist.
