Influencing Voters

I have a secret to tell, I'm a swing-voter. I haven't made up my mind who to vote for in November. Apparently this is perplexing to me because Friday night I dreamt about my indecision. The first part of the dream, Steve and I were debating about national security and he was taunting me because I consider myself a feminist and yet I might vote for McCain. After our debate, I walked over to a field in my hometown and proceeded to watch Barack Obama run bases. He was incredibly fast and my subconscious was super impressed with his base-stealing abilities. He was even out running the ball. I decided in my dream who I was voting for, but then I woke up and thought to myself, now why didn't I dream of McCain running bases? That's not fair, McCain can probably hardly run! Plus, I think I'm entirely too serious to base a vote on a base-running dream. Okay, no I'm not.

Uh oh, now you are having dreams about me? I better lock my door when I move to your neighborhood! haha.
Plus, I'm kind of honored that anything I would say (or type) would actually influence your vote, either consciously or subconsciously! :)

Oh, btw, since we haven't actually "met", I'm curious as to what I looked like in this dream. Was I wearing my revolutionary scarf that I have on in my picture with Lenin? haha

Didn't you dream about me first? Like a few months ago? Now you are moving to my neighborhood?

No, Lenin wasn't in the picture, however the revolutionary scarf may have been now that you mention it.

That makes sense, since I wear it EVERYWHERE. So I'll be easy to pick out at the gym!

I cannot confirm nor deny who dreamed about whom first?!?! haha

While I've pretty solidly made up my mind I honestly don't think the two choices are all that different. No matter what Obama says about McCain running for Bush's third term we'll be a whole lot better off than we are now. (Although McCain *keeps* pandering in ways that surprise me and make me question that- I liked the McCain of 2000 better than the one of 08. Can I just vote for that guy?) There are still a few places where I prefer McCain's positions, but I think the places where I prefer Obama's are so much more significant as to outweigh those areas by a whole bunch.

Really though, you shouldn't be ashamed to vote based on a dream. I mean, it was probably revelation. God speaks to us in our own language and all that. Yours just happens to be base running.
(You should especially consider it revelation if you live outside the DC boundaries and in Virginia.)

Obama
I didn't vote for the War and I will promise you everything you ever wanted. Healthcare, college, jobs, what every you want.

He will even run the bases for you when you want joy but then he will change his mind in the end.

Steve- I can't wait to see you at the gym.

Guy-Oh, I thought it was my vote, not yours! ;)

Michael-I agree. I don't think they are all that dissimilar. I think we'll be better off with McCain also than we have been with the current Administration too.
I really liked 2000 McCain also. I'm hesitant about him right now. Of course, watching Obama make the move to the center has been really interesting too. Some of his positions the last two weeks have puzzled me also. I know why he has said some of it, but come on.
Revelation? ;)

Smokey-a base-runner that'll change his mind in the end. That's not so good!

Steve-you pretty much looked like you do in the pictures on your blog in my dream.
