I've got tickets to see one of my icons with two of the girls. Less than 2 weeks away, but the show is an early show, on a Saturday and the club is not far from the metro. Ben's Chili Bowl or Ethiopian for lunch? Looking forward to it a ton. So, my goal is not to have an asthma attack at all that day. 2 weeks? If I work at it, I can do it.
Seeing Loretta Lynn perform for the first time ever at the 9:30 club? I'm so excited, I'm gushing. I've loved her longer than I've loved Dylan even. Coal Miner's Daughter? One of my all-time favorite movies-first saw it when I was 4 when we were living in Price. I could continue to wax poetic about Loretta, but I'll save it.

i'm doubly jealous. for me (i'd love to see loretta lynn). and for my friend who, when she lived in d.c., saw the most amazing shows at the 9:30 club. she'd love to see loretta lynn and even more so since it's there.
as an out-of-towner i say ben's for lunch. but that's just cause i can get amazing ethiopian food here, but we don't have a hotdog place as good as ben's (no matter what people say about pink's).
I have a copy of Loretta's bio from the '70s! I am really looking forward to finally seeing her. I inherited almost all her records from my Dad and her autograph from my Mom. Like Loretta, I'm a coal miner's daughter, too :)

Ben's is an institution, that's for sure. Chili Cheese fries are one of my comfort foods. that being said, Kelli has never had ethiopian, so we may do that. Melissa has the final say though.
