I woke up feeling pretty good today, so I decided to venture out and walk to our neighborhood library and pick up a couple of books. After I put my name on hold for "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs," and checked out a couple of other books, I decided to go check out the neighborhood coffee shop, St. Elmo's Coffee Pub. Although the selection seemed to be a little limited for a non-coffee drinker, I really liked the place, and would rather hang out there than a Starbucks any day. Anyway, I happened to sit down right below this "re-tooling" of Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks", and chuckled a bit at the "Wafle Shop" reference.
(For those who don't click on the link: The Wafle Shop is about a mile from St Elmo's down the same road. Yes, the spelling is Wafle.)

I just started Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs. I've only read a few pages, so I don't have much more to say.
Oh how I love Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. It's one of those books that I read every year.
Jules-Really? I read the first twenty pages on Google Books, but google books skips pages on purpose, so I only read about 12 pages. I'm excited to read it.
Lee-Yeah? Cool.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. St. Elmo's looks like a great alternative to Starbucks.
I need to hang at the local places more. That is an awesome version! Have you been to the Wafle Shop yet? I am soooooo tempted, but worried I will get food poisoning and/or robbed, ha.
Steve-
I've been wanting to try the Wafle shop, sort of. Kind of scares me too. I get empanadas at Marcela's bakery regularly though. Love that place.
