On our Peru trip last year, we were mobbed by little street kids in Cusco's square. I love Cusco, but the square has a reputation for kids trying to pick-pocket tourists. I ended up arguing with this little guy for several minutes, telling him that we weren't going to give him any money, and Jenny decided to video it. The sound isn't great, but the conversation was basically two words, "si" and "no."

Just watching that, seeing the environment makes me long to get out of Canada. You know, because we don't have squares here with poor beggar children and somehow that's appealing to me. I can just imagine that kid talking to you... "Da me cambio, gringa!" ha!
