President Bush in 2000 and 2008

Above: President Bush November 10, 2008.
Below: President Bush 2000.
Today for some reason, I was thinking about how much the Presidency weighs on the individual, and how with the past Presidents of the US, you could see visible wear and tear beyond just 8 years of aging. So, here's President Bush today, and a picture of him 8 years ago. What do you think?
Say what you will about the man, but he is the President, and please be respectful in your comments-no matter how you feel about him.

Astrid- That was funny.

The 8 years wasn't too good on him. That is one job I would NEVER want (and not just because of the poor aging aspect!).

I think the Obama's look happier than the Bush's.
He looks better than Clinton did after his 8 years. But he definitely looks aged. His tan doesn't help.

We won't be able to truly measure the effects of the Bush administration for years to come, but his distaste for the environment is terribly evident. but i have to say he is one of the cutest dorky presidents we've ever had.
i'm trying so hard to get tickets for the inaug! can't wait!

I first noticed the physical changes on Tony Blair when he was PM. That man looked awful by the time he resigned. It does make you realise how difficult a job it is when you can physically see the changes on them. Pretty sad I think.

I have seen a tremendous amount of aging on all of the presidents at the end of their turns....I wouldn't want that job If my life depended on it......

I'd like to see Obama with grey hair.

Lucy-

Yeah, I wouldn't either. I think he'd look very distinguished.

I agree with the comment about him being a cute dorky president. Say what you will about his politics, the man is a cute dorky dork.

That being said, I really like the red dress. A lot.

That's a big change. I feel badly things went so badly for him... I don't doubt that the wear and tear was in part because of us spoiled, cranky Americans lookin' for a scapegoat... Yeah. I haven't loved him. But he's a heck of a lot better than what some countries have, I'll say that.
