Grey Gardens

I've always liked Drew Barrymore, despite her limited range of an actress. However, the advance reviews of Drew's take of Little Edie in Grey Gardens seem to indicate that Drew's acting range is larger than most people thought. She spent a year and a half getting Little Edie's voice down and the groundwork is evident in the clip on NPR. And the original Grey Gardens? Fascinating cult documentary.

I'm half tempted to subscribe to HBO just so I can watch this. Love the documentary, can't wait to see what this version does.

Yeah, me too.

Eek. I love Grey Gardens, too. Was not Little Edie one of the most interesting people, like, ever?

thank you for exposing us to pop culture. without you we wouldn't know what grey gardens was. Neither would richard still be laughing about lizzing.

Brent-Little Edie still amazes me. I'm really intrigued to see the back story. Plus, Drew Barrymore as Little Edie? Fascinating.

Nicole-Rich is still laughing about lizzing? That's funny. Have you two seen Grey Gardens?

yeah - rich still thinks that's funny. we love 30 rock. but i think his overall favorite line has something to do with Mrs. Magoo (when kenneth falls in love with the blind girl).

we have not seen grey gardens. I'm assuming there is an older version old.... should we rent it?

Nicole-
Yeah, he was a fan of the "hot blind girl".

Yeah, it's a 1975 documentary. One of the most incredible characters ever is Little Edie. However, the documentary is incredibly sad and I'm pretty sure Rich would never forgive me if you sat down and watched it. Nicole, you may find it fascinating however.
