Vegans

I didn't realize until this fall that vegans won't eat honey.  It makes sense, but I just never thought about it.

Some vegans won't eat honey, others are just opposed to mostly cattle products for environmental and health reasons. I guess you are not truly vegan unless you shun all forms of food with animal products, such as honey or red licorice (supposedly made with dye from red ants). Honey is controversial as it is seen as stealing from the bee.

SJ-A Vegan doesn't eat animal products in any form. Some vegetarians won't eat red meat, but will eat other animal products.

Nicole-Honey is made by bees which are considered animals.
