Da Ocho(No, it's the Top 10 Summer Haps)

Now that the Labor Day weekend has passed, the mornings have a bite in the air, the humidity has diminished and Fall feels like a reality, not just wishful thinking-it's time for the Summer 10. Ten events, stories, roadtrips, concerts etc that stood out the most in my mind. Yes, they are in order.
10. Before Carolyn Glauser left us and joined the Utah migration in her quest to become an "advanced zoobie" (mba) her request was to eat seafood one last time. She asked a friend who she has had a crush on about where to go and he suggested a place. Well, long story short, the place he thought of in Solomon's Island MD was the exact place that I had in my mind. Except he said some place on the Patuxtent, and I couldn't remember the name of the river and the restaurant. Lauri and Shari Glauser joined us on the trip. Except for the fact that Carolyn decided she didn't like crab cakes afterwards-sitting out on the bay, looking over a marsh, watching a school of minnows swim by next to our table on the pier...priceless.

9. J,J and E. The past six months or so I had become lazy and hung out with Kell mostly. I was finishing school and it was just easier. When Kell decided to take off the summer to become a world 'tripper, it was an opportunity for me to find new peeps to hang with and reestablish friendships with the old peeps. Well, one day I decided I wanted to go hiking, put out a post on the dc hikerbiker list-serv and Jason and Erin answered. We had a good time. Saw bears, had our own deliverance moments, watched a movie or two, went on several roadtrips. A good time had by all and kelli came back to "ready-made" friends.
