Welcome to my past

Over Christmas, my dad told me about a box of photos he found while cleaning the basement. He said that they were mostly photos of Rich and I when we were little. Last week I received an e-mail from my dad with a bunch of old photos. Although none of this group is of Rich and I, I thought I'd share a couple of photos.

These are my cousins Jake and Andy at my Grandparent's house in Sandy. The little rugrat in the middle was celebrating her 3rd birthday on Christmas, hence the Santa birthday cake. I actually remember this day. I remember that cake, and I was always really excited to see my cousins, who treated me like the little sister they never had. Andy now lives in Hurricane and Jake is the proud father of 5 little Buhlers. (Andy has his arm around me in this photo)

White Sulpher Springs with the Mystery Commenter of my blog. Check out my mom's pants. Those are kind of sweet. Anyway, this is in White Sulpher Springs MT, where we lived for about a year. My parents loved living up there, and I think they wish they could've stayed up there longer. The crazy stories they have from there experience there (chunks of ice in the toilet, the night they moved to town, a man was shot for riding into one of the town's bars on a horse etc) makes me wish I was a little older to remember it.

The puppy carrier. I was looking at another photo we have of the three of us, (wasn't that a gorgeous pup? his name was Beagle) with my dad and he called the orange child carrier the pup carrier---where he put his puppies. Anyway, when we lived in White Sulpher Springs, there was a stream right by our house, that only kids could fish at, but the lady who owned the property that the stream ran through, didn't have a problem with my dad fishing there because he always took me (in this carrier, with the puppy). Apparently, the dog stayed in the carrier and I was happy sharing the carrier.
