The Flamingos outside the house

The weekend recap

Friday
I have every other Friday off. Even though I was off Monday, parts of Wednesday and Thursday sick, I felt like a small truck hit me Friday morning. I ended up taking it easy on Friday, and was winded by Friday afternoon..and didn't feel up to taking a friend up on an invitation to Costco. However, Kell was home by four and we spent the rest of the afternoon preparing for our Arrested Development wake. We made baja fish tacos, chocolate fondue and frozen bananas (which are still in the freezer, come to think of it). The turnout for the party wasn't spectacular, but the 2 hour finale was great......and the one and only ron howard hinted that AD might be.....a movie? a girl can only dream.

Saturday
The mighty Pez had their first soccer game. By the time we played the "Nor'easter" was starting to make its presence known. The 495(Beltway) was surprisingly easy to drive on, but the snow didn't start to stick until a couple of hours after our game. The Pez put up a showing and had a good time. One of my friends on the team wore a red, white and blue head band, red shirt (our team color) and american flag shorts. Very stylin'. They're going to be a fun group to play with. By the time I got home, I was ready for a nap, but ended up making fish enchiladas (the fish was too fishy) and chatted with friends. I watched "Riding Giants" and went to bed. I'm in love with Stacy Peralta and the dude who surfed the Mavericks for ten years solo.

Sunday
The cool thing about being Mormon is that when something happens, about 4 or 5 people call to make sure you know. A friend was over helping us shovel the snow off our driveway, and afterwards we were talking about why our church service status wasn't on the local news. Because of our own internal communication system, there's no need. We didn't have church today, I spent the morning e-mailing friends and catching up on correspondence. I ended up making potato and sausage enchiladas, (yes there turns out to be a theme to this weekend) talked to the new roommate, went outside a little and took a nap. I'm pretty sure we have work tomorrow. I haven't been to the office since Wednesday so I'm pretty sure I'll go in but I might work from home. We'll see.

AD was great, Lindsay and Michael aren't related after all. And then she hits on him because he's rich. Wow and creepy and wow. Then there was the end - I was totally confused. Does this mean ABC won't take them on after all?

What are the names of your flamingos? Or have they told you yet?

I remember naming them once upon a time, but I think they're either 2 or 3 years old. I don't even know how old my flamingos are...

..let alone their names.
