The washington Nationals lost yesterday in their season opener--9-2. However, the real story of the day was the Presidents race. During 4th inning stretch people dressed up like presidents race on foot through the ball park. Teddy Roosevelt always cheats but never wins. So, for opening day, Teddy rappelled from the roof down onto the ballpark--landing on his back while George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson ran for the finish line.
I wasn't there, and obviously didn't take the picture--pretty cool though, eh? I hope to catch my first game of the season this weekend or next.
I saw this photo in the Post Express yesterday and giggled. I think its so cool that Teddy Roosevelt pulled a MI stunt during a Nats game. I love baseball.
