While we were at Macchu Pichu about 10 days ago or so, we spied this tourist trying to pet a llama. Needless to say, he was right behind his legs, and yes we might have said to each other..."I hope the llama kicks him." Stupid tourist.

Here's your first pic, Shannon!

I've seen people doing these sorts of stupid things to the wild horses at Assateague. Buttheads. Happy WW - mine's up too.

Or he's lucky he didn't get spit on too. Happy WW - mine's up too.

Llamas + anything = instant hilarity.

actually, I was hoping he would get spit on rather than kicked. Seriously, as mean as it sounds--he needs to learn to not go up to animals like this. These aren't domesticated llamas you see every where else in Peru. They are in one of the seven wonders of the world and should be treated with respect. You can't tell, but he was totally making this llama nervous.

Looks beautiful there, but I hate Llamas - they spit :-(

Awesome picture! That man is lucky he didn't get hurt. Some people just don't think!

Great shot. Yep, standing behind a Llama isn't very bright. Duh! Happy WW.

Awesome. I can't wait to see more pictures, especially of this particular area because that's where I'd like to go. I am even more envious than before now that I know you were there.

It is funny to think about "wild" Llamas kicking people. Maybe the dumb tourist has been hanging around at my Thanksgiving Point. I still don't go up BEHIND any animal (you know, from horse lessons and stuff) but our Llamas and Alpacas and Guanacos are all pretty sweet.

Didn't anyone tell him not to do that?

At llama fest in Payson you can take a llama for a walk around the Krishna temple.
But you still don't stand behind them. Nope.
Love the picture!

That's a strangely-shaped llama. Lucky you to get to go to such interesting places.

...nice! Isn't there a animated movie with llamas? Happy WW!

reminds me of the time we drove through yellow stone and some lady tried getting a close up picture of her and a wild moose .. we wanted that moose to butt her too ..

THAT has to be spitting distance. Too close for me.

Why do people think wandering animals are pets and welcome human contact? Oh well, I guess it's not as bad as the people who think buffalo are overgrown teddy bears.
