Bull Elk at Rocky National Park. Close enough to get a decent shot on my kodak camera. Taken 6.22.07

Amber--I shouldn't type when I'm distracted. Yes, its Rocky Mountain National Park...course there isn't a Rocky National Park....the closest is Rocky Mountain National Park.

Elk are amazing creatures. This picture with their velvet is beautiful!

I've been there and seen those! They aren't afraid of people at all, but I'm a bit afraid of them!

And THIS is the lone and dreary world? How beautiful! Now I'm jealous!

PS, I love Rocky Mountain National Park. I have been there several times and loved it each time. One year, in early October, we tried to go thru the park and it was so windy that they closed the entrance to the park and everyone had to turn around and go back to Estes Park....
