I hate Transformers. I hated the toys when they came out, I hated the cartoon, I groaned when I saw the ad for the new movie, and the movie sounds about as horrible as watching nfl football with a small army of color commentators for eternity. Or pulling out acres of poison ivy with my bare hands. And for those of you that have been looking forward to this movie for months, to each their own, but silently I've been calling you geeks in my head. Geeks!
(Although, not as big of geeks as the two guys I saw waiting 2 hours early for the Silver Surfer movie at Tysons a couple of weeks back. However, I can't decide which would be worse...watching Transformers or Rise of the Silver Surfer)

I'm a geek and proud of it. I loved the movie :P
Finally a voice of reason among this madness!!
Did you catch the MTV Movie Awards last month? They won for "movie that hasn't been seen yet". And with all the commercials and red carpet hullabaloo going on that night, there's no way that award WASN'T fixed.
Then again, it was MTV... so... meh.
I saw it Friday at a preview at work (we're owned by Hasbro) and thought it was both hilarious and fun to watch. Then again, I work with 300 geeky people, and we have a lot of fun doing what we do.
Laurie- I didn't get a chance to see it, but I remember hearing that transformers won. I agree with you, I think it was fixed.
Stacer, I'd be surprised if you guys didn't get to see it and didn't love it. ;)
I was talking to a friend last night and she invited me to go with her and a small group of friends...Needless to say, I politely declined.
You'd be surprised how many movies made from properties my company was involved with that I don't really personally like. I won't name names with this being a permanent record out on the internet, but I'll just say that it's actually a surprising thing to me that I liked it. I wasn't expecting to.
Stace-
No, I was just commenting on the fact the reviews were decent, and a lot of people like the movie.
