Top {icture: My dad holding rifle, Lamar in back, My Grandma Mary, and Bobby. That buffalo hide has been used for pioneer days, john the baptist robe demonstrations and other activities throughout the years.

Middle. My dad, Richard and Steven with Richard's elk.

Bottom. Rich with his elk.

Note: Don't be a hater. This is my family's lifestyle. If you hate it, just move on, move on.

Did the moose sink into the grass under the weight of the hunter?

Interesting sequence.

Love the way the pictures tell the story! :)

What interesting photos! Yes, hunting is controversial, but seeing animals dying from lack of food is even more inhumane in my book. My hat is off to those who hunt!

Happy WW!

It's photoshop. It isn't real. It's all a trick. Sorry if I offended you, as I certainly didn't mean to. I was going for funny as I always do. Sorry you didn't see the humor.

For every photo of a dead animal that Sherpa posts, a vegetarian dies.

Shannon-well at least baby jesus isn't crying.

Its funny though, I'm not a hunter, I've done it, I'm not into it, there's a lot of that lifestyle I don't like, but my dad, brothers and some of my extended family hunt and I'll stand up for them. I was also asked by my brother who shot the elk, to post these pictures, and I don't really care for the snide comments because family is involved.

Great WW photo! I've never been hunting before...

My WW post this week inspired by President Bush comments at the United Nations yesterday.

I hate the idea of killing animals just for the fun of it. If they ate the meat, that would be another thing.

Joy said...

Lucy, we eat the meat. Elk burger is good.

I just wanted to make sure you knew that I didn't write my comment in an offended manner. I don't care if vegetarians die, unless it's my sister. Don't kill her please.
Honestly, I don't get offended by dead animals, I eat them. And I mock vegetarians, not because they deserve it, just because I can.
One last thought. You are right about Jesus not crying. I just sure hope he's not a vegetarian.

Oh Shannon!

I wasn't offended by your comment at all. I knew you were joking, and I was joking right back. Don't worry about it!

PHEW!

No, your comments were humorous. Totally cool. I just get a little defensive when my family comes into play. That's all.
