I like Kimya Dawson, both her solo work and the Moldy Peaches stuff. So, when I heard that she was going to be featured heavily on Juno, I was intrigued and happy for her. After seeing the movie a few months ago, I was happy to see her songs fit perfectly. Now, the film's popularity is snow-balling, Moldy Peaches is getting back together to perform on the View, the film singlehandedly resurrected Kimya's career and the Soundtrack has been regarded as one of the best soundtracks of the year. I was so surprised but delighted to hear 'Anyone Else But You' when I watched Juno. A good friend of mine introduced me to that very song several years ago and I had completely forgotten it, so Lacie looked at me in surprise when I started singing along in the theater.
What a trip down memory lane! So so delightful, and absolutely perfect for that movie.
I loved Juno, and loved the music as well. Your place here is interesting and fun! I'll be back!
