A few years ago I decided to read all of the f Pulitzer Prize Winners. Here's my progress so far. I'm only including this on here for me as a progress marker, and if anyone else is curious about maybe doing this. I've read the books in bold. I still have a ways to go, but I'm making progress.

*I'd highly recommend any of these to most people except for a Thousand Acres, which I hated. But in fairness, I read that book 13 or so years ago. Many of these are treasured reads.

wahoo! i'm happy to say i'm in the middle of confederacy of the dunces. tell me, if you can, why didn't they award one some years? i was surprised that good willa cather won - but i didn't recognize her winning title and i lamely thought i'd read everything she wrote. thanks for the inspiration! i shall get back to my book now!

Wow I'm behind on this one... I think I've only read 2 or 3 of these... I absolutely LOVE The Road, however. Definitely one of my favorite books. I hope the movie is good. They could really do a lot with it I think, or really mess it up... I suppose that's true with a lot of books though.

t&b-It's been fun. I only read about 5 or so a year, but when I go to used book sales etc. I keep my eyes out for pulitzer prize winners.

pos-Oh I love (not quite the right word) that book. What a crazy, zany book that stays with you.

adam-Cormac McCarthy is one of my favorite living writers. The Road is such a treasure even though a couple of my friends nearly disowned me after recommending it to them.
