Caption: This is Anna Elaine Buhler aka Slurpee born July 11th. She's 9 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches as she was 10 days or so overdue. Yes, a BIG baby! Perhaps not sumo-baby sized (my friend Dainon's niece's "unfortunate" nickname). Oh, she's my brother Rich and sister (in-law) Nicole's first. Plus she's the first grandkid too. Yeah for Slurpee! I've heard it said that babies look like their daddies so the dads will be reassured the baby is theirs....but that first picture looks remarkably like Anna's Grandpa when he's grumpy....with Richard's nose and perhaps Nicole's eyes. :)
Congrats! As soon as I looked at the picture of your niece and then back at the picture of Richard I could see she has Richard's nose. How cute! You need to post a picture of Grandpa so I can compare the two of them.
P.S. I love that you couldn't quite go wordless. Nice work-around putting the words in your comments. :-)
Trudy-Yeah, she definitely has grandpa Feild's, my mom's, Richard's, Maclee's and Lew's nose. I was kind of joking about the baby (don't get mad Nicole) to my mom who replied that Anna looks a lot like I did as a baby. We shall see.
Brenda-Um, hopefully before she's 18. No set plans right now...we'll see.
