I'm not Really Looking Forward to
Walking home today in 60 mph winds. Not to mention that we got around 3 inches of rain in the past 24 hours so the soil is super saturated, and that means a bunch of trees may be downed this afternoon and evening. But, at least to my knowledge, the power isn't out at our house.

Ahhh, spring time in DC
we had a thunder storm here with a bit of hail. love the smell of rain but don't like getting caught in a torrential downpour or killer wind. sorry for your luck!
Rae--You haven't been out here as long as I have. I used to be a fan, but after Isabel, the 10" of rain in 24 hours and other various storms---all I see is potential work and headache. Then there's sightseeing in that kind of weather--it chills you to the bone, and the only remedy is a hot shower. Oh, I still think its cool to see all the rain, but my basement has flooded so much the past year that when it rains more than an inch I get a feeling of dread.
