The Queen was literally across the street from my work this afternoon at the World War II Memorial on the National Mall here in DC. I would've gone over to see her because its probably the last chance to do so, but I absolutely couldn't get away. Which is sad, because I would've like to seen her. Much more than the President or the First Laura (who I've seen several times).
too bad about the missed opportunity. I remember when the Prince visited our department (Agriculture) at the university last year. all that fuss and bustle. we got so little work done.

I thought this was appropriate because of the Royal Family's (and her own)role during WWII.
