Shannon- He totally did. Without missing a beat he said, "evolution" and then he started talking about revolution. He wasn't as clear about that. The 10 year old got a long history about the American Revolution, and not much about other world revolutions.
i just read a student essay this morning where i'd assigned them to write about progress or revolution or both. one kid was doing a comparison contrast (poorly) and he finished with how he doesn't agree with revolution because he thinks we're smarter than monkeys. poor kid. he may be wrong.

She should get together with my ACT prep student who, last night when I was talking about current events said, "Who's John McCain?"
The 10 yr. old might be able to teach her something.
